Fablehaven

I bought the newest book in the Fablehaven series, Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary. I would read it to the girls all day except our resident teenager thinks she has better things to do with her time. The nerve!

You know what surprised me? When we went to Borders at noon on the release date, there were only three copies. I guess they didn't expect many buyers? The next evening we couldn't find any copies. Hopefully that's good news for Brandon Mull.

BTW, we'll try not to post any spoilers. It will be hard...but...we'll....try!

You want me to study all that interesting stuff so I can write my own books, right? I don't know of any mother who would tell her child to cut it out. Oh, I did play on the computer a lot last night.

I know! You're going to tell me experience is better.

We read out loud for about 6 straight hours as we drove yesterday. It's hard to put it down! I still have a few chapters of Anne of Green Gables to finish with the girls tonight before we can get back to Seth and Kendra.

We are almost 1/2 way through. 10yo is dying to keep reading and 13yo wants us to pace ourselves. We are only getting in a couple of chapters a day. Of course, the sooner we finish the sooner we can get back to the Alex Rider series. (hint, hint!)

Alex Rider isn't the same as the other books for boys I like. Libby probably won't like it so there won't be multiple people bugging me to listen!
