I have found a new favorite TV show...Hoarders.
Show description: "Each 60-minute episode of Hoarders is a fascinating look inside the lives of two different people whose inability to part with their belongings is so out of control that they are on the verge of a personal crisis. Whether they're facing eviction, the loss of their children, jail time, or divorce, they are all desperately in need of help."
You can watch full episodes online.
Edited to add: I also found a documentary, My Mother's Garden, made by a daughter of a hoarder.

Does the show make you want to de-junk?
Yes, but I doubt I'll find any dead cats under all this stuff. At least I hope not.
I sent "Clutter's Last Stand" by Don Aslett to Sheryl and I think it's helping her and her family. Jason got his room done and Sheryl is working on hers. Her walk-in closet couldn't be walked into when I was there. After a while it gets so deep you get discouraged.
Well, cats aside, just so you don't keep a spare water heater in the front yard. Or a toilet. ;^) Or stuff that attracts rats. Or feral cats, for that matter. (I may erase this in a minute....) *w*
I have heard of that show but never seen it!
