Twenty Years Later

For my oldest daughter's 1st birthday, I decorated a teddy bear cake. She's almost 22 now. This "Let it Snow" cake is my first successful attempt since then.

Do you realize the repercussions of your cute cake?!!!
Dial-a-bus cancelled, FHE cancelled, people having to stay home and drive each other crazy?

Our cake decorating class was canceled too. Since I already had the cake baked, I decided to decorate it and went with the theme for the day. The snow is beautiful even if we're all stuck at home. :)

That is gorgeous! She'll love it--is she coming down or are you going up? Wait a minute, it's not for 2 weeks. Is it a birthday cake? I'm lost. The cake looks great, though!

Sorry for the confusion. I'm taking a cake decorating class, and so it was for practice. Just for fun. We gave it to the neighbors across the street. It was perfect timing as they were headed out the door to go to a party and took it with them.

What a great job, much better than any of my attempts over the years. The worst was one of Homer Simpson that I tried to do for Carl a few years ago! Sigh!
